ACROSS THE OCEAN

Most visitors come to Vancouver Island by ferry. There is a 1½-hour trip from Horseshoe Bay across the Georgia Strait to Departure Bay in Nanaimo. You can also depart from Tsawwassen Terminal to Duke Point Terminal south of Nanaimo this crossing takes 2 hours. There is a reservation system available to book your traveling time.
